At Crypterium we believe it’s vital to nurture long-lasting relationships with each and every client. Our services help over 500,000 users all over the world in many different ways, addressing different financial needs.
Every time someone shares a story with us, we listen. After all, it is you who tell us what you love about Crypterium, what things we can do better and what we should work on in the future.
Most of the times, we focus on technical matters. But the stories focused on how real people use our services to achieve financial freedom always stand out.
This week, we had an opportunity to speak with Jade, a 30-year-old airline section manager from China that’s now using his virtual Crypterium Card to pay with digital currencies.
Jade isn’t new to Crypterium services. He first heard of us back in 2017, and he’s been supporting our company ever since.
“I’ve been a Crypterium user since the ICO and keep a close eye on its development.”
Jade, like many other customers we serve, is a strong believer in cryptocurrencies. In his opinion, digital currencies offer many benefits against traditional fiat money, such as enhanced security, transparency and flexibility.
“I like using with cryptocurrencies mainly because they’re faster and more anonymous than traditional payment methods. Also they make a good investment if to keep them in the long run.”
With the release of the virtual Crypterium Card, Jade found a seamless way to pay for his day-to-day purchases with cryptocurrencies all over China.
Even though China is embracing the idea of a Central Bank Digital Currency, most shops still don’t accept direct cryptocurrency payments. The Crypterium Card bridges the gap.
“Cryptocurrencies have lots of advantages when compared to other methods, and the Chinese government together with big companies are paying attention to this field. I believe the future payments should be peer to peer, no middlemen charging us fees.”
Not only Jade can use the virtual card for online payments, but also to pay in stores. Since the Crypterium Card belongs to the UnionPay network, it is possible to link the card to the UP app and generate a payment QR code accepted at most stores in mainland China.
If you are a Crypterium Card holder, you can join Jade and connect your virtual card with the UnionPay mobile app. Here is a brief guide on how to do it:
Create an account or log in and click on the card button to link your virtual Crypterium Card.
Follow the instructions to connect the Crypterium Card. You will need to enter the full Crypterium Card number, your security code and expiration date.
If you are buying an item or service at a physical store, open the UnionPay app on your device and click on the QR button to generate one. The cashier will scan it to process the payment.
Jade has been into cryptocurrencies for a while now, meaning he’s tried plenty of wallet services. One of the things he loves about Crypterium (and he isn’t alone…) is that it brings all the services you need to organize your digital finances into a single-access app.
“Since the Crypterium Card is connected to the wallet, it’s really easy for me to track my expenses and plan my budget. Whenever I need to top it up, I can do it on the go in only a few taps. With the previous Crypterium Card it took some time to see funds reflected on my card balance, but that isn’t the case with the new virtual card»
In order to get a Crypterium Card, simply download the Crypterium Wallet on your mobile device and create an account. In the nearest time, you’ll be able to order a virtual and a physical card. If you want us to let you know as soon as more Crypterium cards are available for ordering, go to the ‘Card’ section and click on ‘Notify me’.
