This year was full of important events both in the fintech market and our company. Digital assets experienced bearish trends throughout this year but Crypterium anyhow managed to deliver a lot of new exciting products and services.
Crypterium completed its token sale at the beginning of the year, we even went a bit over the indicated hard cap. Months of hard work paid off and Crypterium managed to pull off one of the largest ICOs in history. The support we received from our community also did wonders. We couldn’t even imagine we would get over 72 000 token buyers and consequently become one of the world’s largest ICOs based on the number of token holders as well.
In 2018, Crypterium introduced a bunch of brand new services that have no analogy elsewhere. One of our favourites - you can send digital money using just the recipient’s phone number. Recipients don't even have to have their own e-wallets - we'll generate one automatically and send them an SMS with a link to get their digital assets with some very clear instructions. Send digital currencies to your mom, your friends or even give it as a birthday present.
Crypterium also introduced new ways of spending digital assets in everyday life. The app now allows users to replenish their phone balance with Bitcoin. Crypterium supports top-ups to SIM cards of over 500 operators in more than 100 countries.
You can also buy vouchers with bitcoins, which can be used to top up Skype, Viber and Steam credits.
Another of our biggest hits is the feature that allows sending digital assets directly to bank accounts. This service is truly revolutionary as it allows users to even pay bills and taxes, or replenish their bank accounts.
However, the main steps are ahead. We are working on allowing instant payments in digital assets using existing payment infrastructures such as NFC terminals and QR codes. Imagine paying for your morning latte or a trip to France with Bitcoin or other major coins. It’s going to be a reality next year.

Additionally, mass media giants like Business Insider, Reuters and Bloomberg gave the spotlight to us.
Crypterium is delighted to see how our progress is highly appreciated both by digital asset and blockchain enthusiast, and traditional financial industry giants.
In March, CRPT tokens were listed on HitBTC exchange, one of the biggest exchanges operating since 2013. Later on, we listed our coin on QRYPTOS, due to its huge potential, minimal fees, user-friendliness and state license from Japan. Qryptos joined up with Quoine this year and became liquid.com, this is an exchange that has a massive potential to become major in near future.
Our last exchange in 2018 was Kucoin, one of the world’s most advanced and reputable exchanges. Besides, Crypterium successfully ran an airdrop on Kucoin - 265 000 CRPT was distributed among Kucoin users and 10 BTC was shared between top 500 accounts with the highest trading amounts of CRPT (buys + sells) as rewards.
In February, We have obtained 2 major licenses in fintech and digital assets that allow us to conduct related activities legally in accordance with the legislation of Estonia. By the way, as the services we offer are digital, we can operate all over the world.
Later on, we got licensed to operate as a financial institution. The new license opened up exciting opportunities for our business. We are now ready to strike partnerships with companies that only work with financial institutions and integrate with more payment systems.
