Log into your Crypterium account at <a href="https://app.crypterium.com" target="_blank">https://app.crypterium.com</a> and click “Loans”. Then select “New Loan”. Be sure to have enough collateral in your Crypterium account, in order to secure the desired loan amount.

Term Length

You can apply for an unlimited number of loans, just make sure to maintain enough collateral.

Multiple Loans

Payments should be made monthly from the date of disbursement. i.e. If you received a loan on August 21st, your payment would be due on the 21st of every month.

Repayment Deadline

Crypterium Loans are secured by crypto assets. The main difference between our loans and the traditional secured loans is you retain ownership of the collateral and profit from its upside potential.

Loan Details

We are not able to sell (or liquidate) your collateral to pay back a loan. We can liquidate collateral in rare cases of loan default, but paying back the loan by selling collateral is a selling feature, which is something we don't offer currently due to AML and compliance reasons.

Collateral Sale

Crypterium loans are backed by your crypto, which is held as “collateral”. Your held collateral has to be maintained at an agreed value, in comparison to how much you’re borrowing. When the value of your collateral drops, a margin call will automatically be triggered and an email notification will be sent out. The easiest way to close the margin call is to add additional crypto as collateral, to make sure that you have enough crypto available in your Crypterium wallet to bring your collateral value back to the agreed amount.

Margin Call

When you take a loan with Crypterium, your collateral is stored with one of our custodial partners. It may be held in reserve, or lent out to one of our institutional partners. It is important to note that when we lend coins to our partners, we do so with collateral to ensure the safety of your coins.

Collateral Storage

Unfortunately, you do not gain interest on collateral. We are able to offer 0% rates on USDT loans partially due to the fact that we do not pay interest on held  collateral.
